Tips for Staying Mindful this Holiday Season

Jessica: Enjoy each day for what it brings. Even though we are planning for future parties, visiting with others, welcoming guests, I remember to enjoy the daily journey. Each day is special and filled with the magic and mystery of the season.

Caryn: Always go the extra step and think of others during the holidays. I always tip a little extra, help out my neighbors, and call someone special. We also love to deliver special holiday treats to those who may not have any family. Its just the little things that mean a lot.

Irma: Always stay positive, be grateful for what you have and the people surrounding you during the holidays.

Bianca: My tip is to be patient, forgiving and loving.

Cathy: It's important to take care of yourself during the holidays. I like to sit down with a cold glass of seasonal eggnog, get enough sleep and so on, so that I can be present, attentive and calm when I'm with my family and friends.

Twyla: Throughout the holiday season, I like to be particularly mindful of the little things. Seemingly insignificant moments such as looking for a parking spot at the crowded mall with my mom, picking wrapping paper, or randomly running into an old friend in the grocery store end up being my favorite holiday experiences, and are always there to appreciate as long as I'm present.
