Lekha Singh || Magical Paris October 25, 2015 Jessica Jesse Warning: These posts may inspire you.I’m a wild and curious photographer, filmmaker, design and book addict. I will share things that inspire and fascinate me in my nomadic life of constant travel, adventure, style, art, and fun. This quote of Carrie Fishers describes it…..”I don’t want life to imitate art, I want life to be art.” Bonjour ParisGrowing up I always wanted to be a writer or an artist living in a little loft in Paris. I would take long walks along the Seine, have thinkers and writers and artist as friends. We would have dinner in cafes and have meaningful and incredible conversations and, write or paint masterpieces. With this in mind I learned French for a few years, but never spoke it and have sadly forgotten it completely and it never came to pass that I lived in Paris or wrote or painted the masterpieces. This summer I lived for a few days the romance with this city of many delights.Above is a view through my bedroom window. Breakfast of champions. Truffles on eggs. The best window shopping in the world except for New York City. I loved doing the touristy thing and floating down the river Seine, or walking by the Louvre. The next best thing to writing in Paris is reading in Paris. So I went on a pilgrimage to the book addicts paradise, the famous book store Shakespeare & Company. I couldn't resist buying books by Collette. Reading her in Paris filled me with a sense of romantic nostalgia. Here is a quote by her:“You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm.” There is no point in being Gluten free in Paris. There are chic woman in high heels and fashion, fashion everywhere. A bridal dress being photographed in the street. Michelle Lamy's hands, the famous designer Rick Owen's wife and muse who I met in the park. The Louis Vuitton museum designed by Frank Gehry is truly a surprising building. The art inside incredible.“I imagined it as if it where a ship. It is a very unusual building, I’ve never designed anything like it.” Frank Gehry Since Paris is a walking city and Gold is the new black. I wouldn't leave home without my gold all weather bangles and these lovely gold walking shoes, and wear them all the time.
