Today we celebrate Women's Equality Day; which commemorates the granting of the vote to women throughout the country. Women in the United States were granted the right to vote on August 26, 1920 and to pay homeage to this important event we are celebrating by offering a 25% discount with code: BDGWED on all the items we have that are handmade by women.  We women have come far, but still have a lot to achieve and a lot of work to do. We are proud to support such talent and dedication of the women who happily make so many of our products.

The BuDhaGirl products in this promotion are the scapular collection, the plastikis,  and the kk crochet necklace in pink and gold. We also include in this special promotion the Diva shawl that even though they are hand-woven by men the entire enterprise is actually owned by a woman.

The Diva Shawls are woven in Appachi, a farm to fashion cooperative in India. They farm their own cotton, weave their own yarn, create their own patterns and weave their own fabric.  All the while taking care of people and the environment. Yes, glamour can be mindful.  Each piece of cloth has the spirit and caring of thousands of years of tradition in the art of weaving. Ghandi himself is known to have said that if he did not weave everyday he felt he had not contributed that day.

Help us celebrate women today. Use code: BDGWED for your special discount in the fabulous aforementioned products.

Go, Be it.
