Are there miracles in nature?

“Miracles do not happen in contradiction to nature, but only in contradiction to what we know of nature.” - St. Augustine

There's no reason to assume that a "miracle" has to impress like a supernatural parlor trick. Imagine the blind made to see (long before the advent of corneal transplants), or loaves turned into fishes (long before digital imagery manipulation). The extraordinary comes in various sizes and shapes to those who bother to pay attention.

Being observant not only with our physical eyes, but with our minds eye too allows us to see things in a deeper, more meaningful way. The power of observing nature also allows us to respect time, respect birth and death, marvel at prime beauty and the wonder of decay, and know within our hearts that we are all part of this… connected to everything.

We are part of nature, we are miracles.
